Biography
James Dashner was born on November 26, 1972 in Austell, georgia. Dashner's parents were Linda and James Dashner. He was one of six children growing up and even in his youth was a devoted reader. At an early age Dashner began writing on his parents old typewriter, sparking his successful writing career. Dashner began his
studies at Duluth High School in Duluth, a suburb of Atlanta. Later on recieving a masters degree in writing at Bringham Young University (BYU). BYU is a private research university in Provo, Utah. Dashner's initial plan was not to become a writer first though, he first got a degree in accounting, later changing his career to an author. Since then Dashner is married to Lynette Dashner and have had four children. Dashner is a very successful author, writing and publishing the very successful book, The Maze Runner. This particular book has been the New York Times Best Seller for 100

weeks since September 21, 2014. The Maze Runner consists of four books that are out now (2015) and a new book coming in 2016. The Maze Runner has also been made into successful motion picture that aired in September of 2014. Dashner began writing as an occupation officially in 1998, publishing his first book in 2003 called The Door in the Woods.
